Zapin Pulse: Solving the LinkedIn Algo

You'll never win if you don't have this

Hey there!

Lets dive right in!

Today I wanted to talk about the dreaded algo.

Well, not really about it, because it’s not what really matters.

Your content should be algo proof.

That way you can spend less time worrying about how your content will do.

And more time creating things that will resonate with your audience.

I use this method to avoid worrying about the algo, and stay true to my audience.

Consistency is King

The #1 thing that will allow you to go viral?

(Sidenote: Even if you don’t go viral. This will help you sell, and at the end of the day, ROI is what matters)

Posting every day.

Sound more daunting than your post flopping every week?

It’s probably because you don’t have structure in place.

Structure is the only thing that will allow you to be consistent with your content.

Without it, you’re going to

  • Burn out

  • Lose motivation

  • Get bad results

  • Have unfocused content

  • Struggle with scaling

Here are my big 3 structures for content.

1. Content Pillars:

Your content is how you convey your ideals, values, and solutions to your customers.

Make a list of 5 pillars for your content.

Each of these pillars should help answer one of these questions.

What we talk about

Why we talk about it

Who we are talking to

Why it's important to them

What is our solution for them

2. Posting Schedule:

It’s easier to post when you only post certain types of content on certain days.

Schedule your LinkedIn content calendar like this:

Monday: short text only post

Tuesday: Carousel

Wednesday: Story with picture

Thursday: Infographic

Friday: Text insights post

Saturday: Personal info/story

Sunday: Thoughtful idea/ Motivational post.

3. Batch Creation:

Yes, this schedule could be the most important of them all.

Do you have specific days during the month that you ideate and create?

Goal: Create 30 days worth of content.

I suggest having a few days picked out like this:

1st Tuesday of the month

  • Fill swipe file with content that is viral or you love

  • Write out sub-level ideas from your 5 content pillars to talk about

  • Put a idea title for the content of each day next month you’re scheduling for.

1st Wednesday of the month

  • Create the text version of every post

  • Plan what your visuals are going to look like

  • Get the text versions of your posts to 90%

2nd Tuesday and Wednesday of the Month

  • Create images, carousels, infographics on 1st day

  • Refine and finalize all your drafts the 2nd day.

3rd Tuesday of the month

  • Schedule all of your content

  • Celebrate!

Implementing a system like this may seem like a huge mountain to climb.

But I can tell you it’s completely worth it.

Not only will you avoid the ups and downs of the algo with you consistency.

You’ll reap the massive rewards of having a coherent brand message and strategy.

Now I’m wondering. . .
